The Weeds Australia website is still in Beta Version but looks very promising. On this site you can find information about 398 weed species in Australia; why weeds are a problem; how to identify and record them; and how to manage them.

Weeds are a great problem and it is very important to learn to identify and manage them correctly so they do not become a problem.

Weeds Australia includes weed profile pages. These profiles are kept on the popular Atlas of Living Australia website, and link through to that website.

There is an interactive identification key that allows you to identify weeds based on your geographic region. In my test run, it worked really well. The characteristics are simple and easy to use. The elimination process shows the images of the plants remaining, so once you have a smaller list, it is very easy to check the images of the remaining options.

The site has a management side and a citizen science side. There are also links to several regional sites where you can record the weeds you have found.
