The Australian Butterflies website by Martin Purvis is another great tribute to Australian butterflies. The website has excellent photographs of 319 Australian butterfly species, and also groups them into their families. The butterflies are listed by scientifc name and common name.

For each butterfly species there are several photographs; these often also include photographs of eggs and caterpillars. The photographs have all been taken by the website owner, Martin Purvis, and he records the location and date of their sighting. He also maintains an interesting blog of his travels and adventures.

This is a great site to help you discover more about Australian butterflies!
